Workgroups

Workgroups are the Engine of the California Water Safety Coalition.

The CWSC has multiple workgroups that strive to advance water safety in specific strategic areas. The original CWSC workgroups were modelled off the US National Water Safety Action Plan, but have evolved to reflect the needs of California’s drowning prevention community. Workgroups meet periodically throughout the year to coordinate on various projects that may be a specific focus of the workgroup, or related to a broader coalition-wide effort. Workgroup members are expected to contribute via collaborative participation in meetings and occasionally complete limited “homework” assignments.

If you are looking to get more involved in Coalition activities, signing up for a workgroup is a great place to start! Click the “Join a Workgroup” button above to express your interest.
