We value a collegial, collaborative, and inclusive culture in which the mission is guided by best available data and where efforts are forward-looking.

We value work grounded in science, evolving as data yields new insights.

We are ambitious yet practical, orienting our efforts toward those goals and objectives that are achievable for an organization of our type and size. What is important but not prioritized now, may be prioritized in the future.

We expect and encourage CWSC participants, individuals or organizations to pursue their own initiatives independent of this Coalition. The Coalition will take on efforts where there is broad agreement.

We recognize existing organizations, coalitions, agencies and individuals currently working in water safety and want to create a collaborative space where successful or innovative programs can be shared and expanded.
